Petroleum Coke

Petroleum coke is the residue left over from the thermal decomposition of heavy oil from oil refineries in a coking unit at around 600 ℃. The product name varies depending on the decomposition process, but the majority of products are generally called delayed coke. These include raw coke as it is extracted from the coking unit, and calcined coke which is made by baking raw coke again at around 1300 ℃ to remove the volatile matter.
